CASE STUDY THREE - CF (COMPACT FLASH) CARD KIT
The standard CF card kit widely used is limited by it’s size and hence the size of PCB enclosed within, is also limited. We were approached by a client to design, develop, tool and produce a custom CF card kit that allowed the integration of electronics that were previously within a separate housing.
The application resulted in a custom plastic lead-frame, two new metal shielding cans, a plastic housing with the customers logo pad printed. Also incorporated is a 3 port shielded jack from our existing modular jack range, a custom 50-pin CF I/O connector and three overmoulded cable assemblies, all which are supplied by Contour Electronics Ltd.
