CASE STUDY SEVEN - PIR MOTION MODULE OVERMOULDING
The customer wanted to have their PIR motion module overmoulding. The overmoulding had to allow the switch to operate, the LED and the motion sensor to protrude with the added feature that the motion sensor could be removed and replaced easily.
The top surface of the sensor and the LED were the important aspects to consider, as they had to be visible. This meant that the height of the moulding had to be carefully designed and as a covert piece of equipment had to be black.
